People are getting their panties in a bunch because of the upcoming "Mark of the Beast" date on June 6. From a comprehensive news article:

Or it could be looked at in this way... In numerology 6 stands for man. Anything three times means in total. Man in total... So, 666 equals mankind. Mankind is the enemy of Christ.
Makes so much more sense than this supernatural antichrist. And I'm not a fan of Mr. Bush. (g)
My sister was once denied membership to a church because of her date of birth: 2/6/66.
Anyone know WHY the beast needs to have a number? I don't know any beasts that count (unless you're talking about some middle-managers in retail).
The numerology I follow is Chaldean-it is the one that follows the meanings and symbols of the Tarot. 6 is the number of Venus, Goddess of the Hottie. Not too scary to me. 18 (3x6, if you're not awake yet) is the number of the Moon, which is a dangerous number--being that it rules the creatures of the sea and of the night and all things murky.
616 (as mentioned in the the article) brings us back to unlucky number 13 which in the Tarot is "Death" which is popularly known to mean a transformation, much more likely to be the cellphone number (direct dial only, no collect calls) to the Beast.
Of course the beast has to have a number, Suki. How else are you going to recognize him from the scorecard?

X- A church once kicked out one of my family members because they smoked. In fact, the more I think about this, I could do a mile long list of transgressions from churches. That thing with your sister is just ridiculous. She's better off.
